A 6'4" midfielder or defender then with Banbury, Albi was given a run-out in Town's opening pre-season friendly at Supermarine. Three days later he appeared for his own club, scoring in a 2-0 victory over Swindon.

The 6'3" striker scored the first goal of Town's pre-season in a 7-1 win at Supermarine, but was not retained after three friendlies had been played.

Jonte, a second half substitute in a 'behind tall hedges' friendly at Calne, hit an eight-minute hat-trick in a 4-1 win against Oxford. Town decided not to offer him a contract - but United did.

An England under-20 international, Ted came on for the final twenty minutes of the Coventry pre-season friendly and played the entire 90 at Melksham.

Jimmy (sometimes referred to as Snowden) made 20 Combination appearances at either left-back or centre-half.

Danny twice came on as a substitute in Town's pre-season friendlies against Bristol Rovers and Southampton.

Scott played as a trialist in the first pre-season friendly following the club's trip to Austria - and scored in a 3-0 win at Hungerford.

Frank arrived in England at the end of 1956, following the turmoil of the Budapest Uprising. Apart from a couple of reserve appearances shortly after he signed for Town, all Frank's appearances were for the 'A' team.

After joining Town at 13, Jamie made a switch to Anfield during his two-year scholarship. Five years later he returned to the County Ground on trial, replacing his former Liverpool rival Ty Belford for the second half of a pre-season game at Petersfield. Jamie also played in the final twenty minutes of a home friendly with Aston Villa.

A much travelled keeper following his two-year stint with the Town Academy, Jon went on to make a handful of first team appearances while at Dean Court.

Jimmy conceded 13 goals in his four appearances for the Combination side and was not retained at the end of his one-month trial.

Trialist Jude was on the subs bench for a Combination fixture against Northampton a week before Christmas in 2001.

A bank clerk by profession, Harry scored in his only Town game - a 3-3 draw with West Ham reserves at the end of September 1914. While serving on the western front with the Royal Guernsey Light Infantry he was awarded the Military Cross for gallantry. Sadly, he died from his injuries after returning to his home in the Channel Islands. Harry was buried at Sangatte in France.

The older brother of Ken, the two siblings often lined up in the same reserve side.

An 'emergency' signing to cover for a suspended George Rushton, Herbert scored twice in five reserve appearances. Four years later, he made his debut for Rangers in a 0-3 defeat at the County Ground.

Cyril made 36 reserve appearances in the Southern League before exiting the County Ground along with twenty professionals !

Frankie appeared for the opening 45 minutes of the friendly at Supermarine and impressed enough to be taken to the Spanish training camp, playing 30 minutes against Everton. 6 caps for Eire under 21s.

Norman played in a 2-0 Combination win against Cardiff. He gained 31 caps for Guinea, netting 12 goals.

After impressing on trial in a 1-0 Combination win at Cardiff, Peter went on to make sixty appearances across two seasons - the second of which frequently saw him playing behind younger brother Dave. But Peter was released on a free transfer in May 1973.
