The closest Stuart came to making the first team was three weeks later - as an unused substitute in an Anglo-Italian Cup tie in Venice.

With Fraser Digby injured, the only cover for Nicky Hammond was youth team keeper Shane Cook. Stewart returned to Parkhead after a month and three reserve games.

The son of Joe - who netted over 100 League goals during his career - Jamie found them hard to come by at Combination level, netting just a handful in thirty games.

Shaun broke into Town's reserve side at the end of April 1995, midway through his two years as a trainee. He went on to play almost 200 games for Oxford City.
